CONCERNING
DESIGNATION OF PLACES OF EXPORT AND IMPORT
FOR CARRIER MEDIA OF PESTS AND DISEASES OF QUARANTINE FISH

MINISTER OF MARINE AFFAIRS AND FISHERIES,

Considering :

a. that to follow-up the government regulation No. 15/2002 concerning fish quarantine in the framework to prevent the introduction and the dissemination of pests and diseases of quarantine fish, it is needed to review Decree of Minister of Agriculture No. 245/Kpts/LB.730/4/1990 concerning quarantine actions against live fish intended for exportation from the territory of the Republic of Indonesia, as already amended by Decree of Minister of Agriculture No. 470/Kpts/LB.730/8/2001;
b. that to perform prevention to the introduction and the dissemination of pests and diseases of quarantine fish shall be made through the designated places of entry and exit;
c. That in the connection with the above mentioned facts it is deemed necessary to lay down Decree of the Minister.

In View of :

1. Law No. 9/1985 concerning Fisheries;
2. Law No. 16/1992 concerning Animal, Fish and Plant Quarantine;
3. Government Regulation No. 15/2002 concerning Fish Quarantine;
4. Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia No. 228/M/2001 on establishment of Gotong Royong Cabinet;
5. Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia No. 102/2001 on Status, Tasks, Functions, Authority, Organizational Structures And Working System of Ministries, as already amended by Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia No. 45/2002;
6. Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia No. 109/2001 concerning Organization Unit and Tasks of Echelon I in Ministry, as already amended by Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia No. 47/2002;
7. Decree of Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries No. 24/MEN/2002 concerning Systematization and Arrangement of Regulations within Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries.
8. Decree of Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries No. KEP.29/MEN/2002 concerning Organization and Working System of Fish Quarantine Operational Units;
9. Decree of Minister of Marine Affair and Fisheries No.05/MEN/2003 concerning Organization and Working System of Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries.

HAS DECIDED :

To stipulate :

DECREE OF MINISTER OF MARINE AFFAIRS AND FISHERIES CONCERNING DESIGNATION OF PLACES OF EXPORT AND IMPORT FOR CARRIER MEDIA OF PESTS AND DISEASES OF QUARANTINE FISH

FIRST :

Designating entry and exit places for carrier media of pests and diseases of quarantine fish.

SECOND :

By the issuance of this decree, the annex of Decree of Minister of Agriculture No. 245/Kpts/LB.730/1990 concerning quarantine actions against live fish intended for exportation from the territory of The Republic of Indonesia as already amended for last time by Decree of Minister of Agriculture No. 470/Kpts/LB.730/4/2001 is declared inoperative.

THIRD :

This decree shall take into effect on the date of issuance.
